WHERE Garden Party
The WHERE Garden Party was held yesterday, July 5th 2009, at the home of Dr & Mrs Meads, in Blagdon Hill, and they did us proud. They have a lovely home with views that are stunning, however, the heavy down-pours during the afternoon, obscured the views some what!!! Despite the rain, we all had a lovely afternoon, the tea and cakes were delicious and there was plenty of goodies on the stalls for us to spend our money on, and the Hand Bell Ringers from Dunkeswell were excellent and enjoyed and appreciated by us all.We send a great big thank you to the Meads for their kind hospitality, to all the helpers and stall holders, to the hand bell ringers for entertaining us so well, and to every-one who spent their money, entered the raffle or gave a donation. The monies that we raised have not been finalised yet, but we know that we made a good sum, so from every-one at WHERE, and especially from me (Barbara), THANK YOU.
Next event to look forward to is Race Nite on Friday July 10th, and then the Bar-be-que (with entertainment and stalls)on Saturday July 25th.IF YOU WANT TO SPONSOR PADDY FOR HIS HAIR CUT ON WEDNESDAY JULY 15TH, JUST LET US KNOW!!!!
